Andy’s journey into videography began years ago with a simple GoPro, a moment that sparked an instant love affair with capturing stories through the camera lens. What started as curiosity quickly evolved into a passion for creating films that preserve life’s most authentic moments.
Having a creative spirit that remained largely untapped, Andy found his calling when the opportunity arose to co-create Benchmark Visual. This venture eventually opened the door to expand into the outdoor and adventure space, leading to the birth of Wildsmith Media.
As one of the two head creators alongside Jean, Andy brings meticulous attention to detail and a touch of perfectionism that elevates every frame. His incredible eye for precision, whether lining up the perfect golf shot, tuning a guitar, or crafting a musical composition, translates seamlessly into his videography work.

Jèan de Lauwere

Born and raised in South Africa with a deep passion for adventure and the outdoor life, Jean is Co-Founder of Wildsmith Media.

After years in construction management, a career that left him unfulfilled, he made the bold decision to trade his tools for a camera and pursue his true calling: creating films through photography and videography.
As an avid sport shooter and former professional hunting guide, Jean discovered that storytelling came naturally within the outdoor and adventure industry. His unique background gives him an authentic understanding of the hunting experience, allowing him to capture not just moments, but the raw emotion and essence of each adventure.

Jean’s Creative Edge:

• Former professional hunting guide with genuine field experience
• Many years as a fashion and portrait photographer with strong understanding of lighting and camera settings
• Construction management background that brings project discipline and precision
• Extensive experience in both video and photography
• Extensive ballistic knowledge and ability to make accurate wind calls

With his deep photography foundation and technical expertise, Jean works alongside Andy as one of the two head creators on the Wildsmith team. But Jean brings more than just camera skills to your hunt, he’s an extra set of experienced eyes who understands game movement, terrain, and shot placement from years of guiding and hunting. Together, they specialize in transforming hunting and safari experiences into cinematic films that preserve these once-in-a-lifetime adventures for years to come.

Robbie Brewis

Meet Robbie (AKA “Robster”) – Lead Videographer & 4WD Nut

Robbie is Wildsmith’s cinematic ninja, always pursuing the perfect shot, whether through his camera lens or with a rifle in hand. As our lead cinematographer specializing in Eastern Cape hunting videography, Robbie combines his passion for the outdoors with professional filming expertise.

A true outdoorsman at heart, Robbie brings authentic understanding to every safari expedition. From capturing trophy moments in South Africa’s bushveld to documenting sunrise hunts from elevated blinds, his intimate knowledge of hunting and nature translates into compelling visual storytelling.

When he’s not behind the camera documenting hunting adventures across the Eastern Cape, you’ll find Robbie with a fishing rod at the water’s edge or scouting new hunting locations. This genuine connection to the outdoors is what makes his hunting videography so authentic and engaging.

Michael Bosch brings a lifetime of hunting passion and professional expertise to every Wildsmith production. Born and raised with a rifle in his hands, Michael’s deep understanding of the hunt goes far beyond the camera lens, it’s in his blood.

As a part-time Professional Hunting Guide, Michael doesn’t just capture your safari; he enhances it. His keen eye for game movement and terrain reading makes him an invaluable asset in the field, providing that crucial second set of experienced eyes when it matters most.

The team didn’t nickname him “Thermals” for nothing, his ability to spot game is legendary.

Meet Austin, Wildsmith’s newest addition to the team and the creative wizard behind our operation. While Andy and Jean juggle business development and production, Austin keeps post-production running seamlessly behind the scenes.

From fine-tuning edits to perfecting the smallest details, he brings a meticulous approach and calm precision to every project that comes through the studio. Known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and creative problem-solving, Austin is dedicated to making sure every final product not only meets expectations, but exceeds them.
